Custom Projects May Include:

  • Unique administrative forms, documents, or templates

What Determines Your Final Project Price?

Our starting prices are based on standard-scope projects. Because no two departments or administrative projects are exactly alike, the final price may vary based on the amount of work required. If your project falls outside the standard scope, you'll receive a clearly defined fixed price before any work begins.

Document Length

Longer documents generally require additional review, formatting, development, and quality control beyond the standard starting-price scope.

Project Complexity

Technical, highly detailed, or multi-part documents may require additional development compared with a standard administrative document.

Condition of Existing Materials

Clean, editable source documents require less work than scanned files, incomplete documents, conflicting versions, or materials requiring substantial reconstruction.

Research Requirements

Projects requiring significant research into applicable standards, regulations, industry guidance, or other supporting material may require additional project scope.

Level of Development

Minor cleanup is different from substantial rewriting, restructuring, or developing new content. The amount of development required will be reflected in the project price.

Department-Specific Customization

Projects requiring extensive integration of department-specific operations, terminology, organizational structure, or existing procedures may require additional development.

Revisions Beyond the Included Scope

Each service includes a defined number of revision rounds. Additional revisions or substantial changes requested after approval of the original scope may affect the final project cost.

Expanded Project Scope

If additional documents, services, or deliverables are added after the original project is approved, FSAS will provide pricing for the additional work before proceeding.

No surprises. No open-ended hourly billing.

If your project requires more than the standard starting-price scope, FSAS will review the work and provide a fixed project price for your approval before work begins.

How Payment Works

FSAS keeps billing straightforward. Every project has a clearly defined scope, deliverables, price, and payment terms before work begins. You'll know what you're paying for and what to expect before approving the project.

Standard Projects

For individual documents and smaller projects, the complete project price and payment terms are provided before work begins. Once the project is approved and any required initial payment or purchase authorization is received, work can get underway.

The remaining balance, if applicable, is due according to the terms established in the project agreement.

Larger & Multi-Phase Projects

Larger projects may require an initial deposit or predetermined milestone payments based on the size and scope of the work. Payment requirements, project milestones, and final payment terms will be clearly outlined and agreed upon before the project begins.

Department Purchasing Requirements

We understand that municipal, federal, and other government fire departments may have established purchasing and payment procedures. Purchase orders, vendor registration, invoicing requirements, and approved payment terms can be addressed during the project setup process.

Changes to Project Scope

If additional documents, services, or deliverables are requested outside the approved project scope, FSAS will provide pricing for the additional work before proceeding. No additional work will be added to your project without approval.

Clearly Defined Scope. Agreed Pricing. No Open-Ended Hourly Billing.

Pricing FAQs

What does “Starting at” mean?

Starting prices reflect a standard-scope project or document. Length, complexity, condition of existing materials, research requirements, and the level of development needed may affect the final price. If additional work is required, you'll receive a fixed project price for approval before work begins.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. FSAS uses per-document and fixed project-based pricing. Your project scope, deliverables, and price are established before work begins, so you aren't watching an hourly bill add up.

Do you offer discounts for multiple documents?

Multi-document projects may qualify for bundled project pricing. Rather than simply multiplying the individual document price, FSAS can evaluate the project as a whole and provide a fixed quote based on the complete scope of work.

How many revisions are included?

The number of included revision rounds is listed with each service or established in the project scope. Additional revisions or substantial changes outside the approved scope can be added for an agreed price before the additional work is completed.

Do you require a deposit?

Some projects may require an initial payment, deposit, purchase order, or other purchasing authorization before work begins. Requirements depend on the project and the department's purchasing procedures and will be clearly established before the project is approved.

What if I'm not sure which service my department needs?

That's okay. Tell us what you're working with and what you're trying to accomplish. FSAS can review the project with you, determine the appropriate scope of service, and provide pricing before you commit to the work.
